Thúy Vân, also known as H'Hen Niê, is a Vietnamese model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam in 2017. She made history by being the first woman from an ethnic minority background to win the title. At the Miss Universe 2018 pageant, held in Bangkok, Thailand, she made it to the Top 5 and was named Miss Universe Asia, making her the highest-ranking Vietnamese contestant ever. Her success at Miss Universe has made her an influential figure and role model in Vietnam and in the international community. She is also known for her philanthropic work, having donated a portion of her prize money to support education programs in rural Vietnam.
